DYSTOPIA–Dystopia College is investigating whether a spring trip to Belize by President Overly Payeed-Admyn at the college’s expense was in compliance with state and board of regents policies, the college’s legal counsel, Fgn Gocha Na, has acknowledged.
Na stressed that the investigation is “routine” and that Payeed has not been accused of any policy violations at this point.
Payeed has said that he complied with all policies that he was aware of in taking the charter-plane trip to Belize last March. He said the purpose of the trip was to recruit potential Dystopia students.
Questions about the trip surfaced after photos surfaced on Facebook, Instragram, Snapchat, and Tumblr of Payeed on a beech in Belize in swim trunks, snorkel, and flippers, flanked by bikini-clad locals and holding an enormous go-cup of what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage.
After the photos appeared, Payeed denied doing anything “inappropriate,” and said that “socializing with the natives” was necessary for successful recruiting. He declined to comment on the contents of the go-cup, though an anonymous local reportedly said that Payeed “drink very much rum.”
